Logline:

An emotionally repressed and stilted regional accountant, must fulfil his dead wife’s dying wish, transport her four bestie fellow cosplayers to Comic-con.

Synopsis:

Just trying to leave for what will clearly be the worst day of his life is becoming troublesome for Mike. Finally, and with great reluctance, he climbs into his beloved dead wife’s car, an Austin Allegro dressed up to look like the X450 (no, me neither). It’s a spaceship used by the heroes in a long defunct cult television series. Mike’s first pick up is Julie who lives next door to a murderer who ends up lending Mike a pair of green cycle shorts with Goldigga emblazoned across the arse after Mike pisses himself. Karen is next on the schedule and this time Mike loses his shoes to her Rottweiler after having to sneak into her house to retrieve her inhaler whilst trying not to wake her abusive husband. Natalie is eight months pregnant and probably shouldn’t be wearing heels and a skin-tight space costume. But it is her husband who lends Mike a pair of size thirteen cowboy boots so they can continue on and pick up the surprise passenger. Kimberley is fifteen, in a wheelchair and has ADHD along with a severe case of verbal diarrhoea. Kidnapping a minor is the least of Mike’s worries and Natalie is unable to keep her burrito breakfast down plastering Mike in vomit. Minus his vomit drenched tank top Mike is now dressed like a mental space pimp and finally he thinks he might just be enjoying himself.
